The public ledger.
This is where we publish the receipts. The Pledge is where we describe the commitment; this page is where we publish each transfer when it happens. Receipts only. No itemised internal numbers, no quarterly business breakdowns. The scope stays narrow on purpose so the page is simple to maintain and never overpromises what we publish.
After all our costs are covered, half of what remains as profit goes to three UK-registered charities. Each charity transfer is recorded below within three working days of payment.
Charity transfer receipts
On the last working day of March, June, September and December, the charity transfer for that quarter is made. The receipt (date, amount, charity, payment reference) is published here within 3 working days. That's it. We don't publish quarterly business totals or per-charity splits; we publish each transfer as it happens.
Tree-planting receipts
Once a year, on or around 1 January, we place a single bulk order for one tree per member who hit 365 days of paid Stamp membership in the prior year. The receipt from the UK tree-planting charity we donate through is published here within 3 working days of the order.
Reports the charities share
The receiving charities are welcome (but never required) to share their own updates on how they used Stamp's contribution. If they choose to, we publish the update they send us here. We don't author it, we don't gate any payment on it, and we don't write our own version of it.
What entries will look like.
From the first profitable quarter onward, each quarter will add three rows here, one per receiving charity. Below is the shape of a future entry, with placeholder rows for the first scheduled transfer.
| Quarter | Payment date | Recipient | Amount (GBP) | Reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Q1 2027 | 31 March 2027 | Receiving Charity 1 | pending | STAMP-Q1-2027-A |
| Q1 2027 | 31 March 2027 | Receiving Charity 2 | pending | STAMP-Q1-2027-B |
| Q1 2027 | 31 March 2027 | Receiving Charity 3 | pending | STAMP-Q1-2027-C |
| First scheduled entry: Q1 2027 (subject to the company being profitable by then). The amount column populates on the day of the transfer. | ||||
Year 1, the founder slate
For the first year only (a 15-month window, from October 2026 to December 2027) the three charities are selected directly by the founder rather than voted on. From 2028 onward, charities self-submit and members vote in the first week of December each year. The founder slate is published in full here before launch.
Five things worth knowing.
Will Stamp publish how much it spent on hosting, salaries, or marketing?
No. The ledger publishes charity transfers and tree-planting receipts. It does not itemise internal company costs. Statutory company accounts are filed with Companies House in the normal way and are public there.
What happens if Stamp makes no profit in a quarter?
No transfer is made for that quarter. No shortfall is carried forward against a later quarter. The next entry on the ledger will simply be the quarter after the next profitable one.
Who decides the three receiving charities?
For the first 15 months (October 2026 to December 2027) the founder selects the slate, and publishes the names and reasons before launch. From December 2027, charities self-submit and members with at least 30 days of paid membership vote in the first week of December each year.
Are the charities partners of Stamp?
No. They are recipients of an unconditional transfer. They are not required to promote Stamp, report to Stamp, hold a Stamp account, or do anything in return. They are welcome to share their own updates on how the money was used, and if they do, we link to them from this page.
Is the 50% commitment legally binding?
It is a public commitment by Stamp Social Ltd, published on this page and in the Pledge. It is not a contract with members. Members' enforceable rights are their consumer-protection and data-protection rights at law. The ledger sits on the public record so the commitment is observable, and the credibility is in the receipts, not in the prose.
The first receipt will be posted within 3 working days of the first quarterly transfer. Until then, this page is empty for the right reason: we haven't taken any subscription money yet.
